Dayton Concrete Contractors Co works out of 40 W 2nd St, a block from Courthouse Square, serving the whole metro. Driveways, patios, stamped work, sidewalks, slabs, and foundations. The approach is simple: measure the property, put the spec in writing, and build the part nobody sees as carefully as the part everybody sees.

A concrete company built for Miami Valley conditions

Four local facts decide most of what we do. Southwest Ohio runs exterior concrete through roughly 50 freeze-thaw cycles a winter, so we spec air-entrained 4,000 PSI. The salt trucks run November through March, so we seal, and we tell every customer to skip deicer the first winter. The ground here is split - clay till on the ridges of Kettering and Beavercreek, sand-and-gravel outwash in the river valleys - so base design starts with checking what's actually under your yard instead of assuming. And the frost line sits at 32 inches, which is where footings bear.

We know the neighborhoods too. Detached garages off Oakwood alleys where a mixer can barely thread. Landmark review on street-facing work in the Oregon District and St. Anne's Hill. Postwar Kettering drives poured for 1950s sedans and dying under modern trucks. The rebuilding that followed the 2019 tornadoes through Trotwood, Old North Dayton, and Beavercreek. None of that shows up in a national price sheet.

How we run every job

The estimate is free, written, and specific: thickness, PSI, air entrainment, reinforcement type and placement, base depth, joint plan, footing depth where it applies. Concrete bids look identical until you read what's under the slab, and most of the difference between a good price and a cheap one is buried where you'll never see it.

We're straight about timing. Pouring season runs roughly April into early November, cold-weather work is possible with blankets and accelerators when a job can't wait, and when waiting produces a better slab, that's what you'll hear.

We diagnose before we sell - some replacement calls turn out to be smaller fixes, and some hoped-for patches turn out to be replacements. Both verdicts come in writing with reasons. And we clean up: site swept, spoil hauled, fence panels back where they came off, with a written cure timeline covering when to walk on it and when to park on it.

Insured, permitted, and accountable

We carry liability and workers' compensation, and certificates are available whenever you ask. Where a job needs a permit - driveway approaches in the right-of-way, structural footings, sidewalk work - we pull it and meet the inspector. Skipping that saves a little on day one and costs plenty at closing.

Our workmanship guarantee is in writing. If something we poured fails because of our workmanship, we come back and make it right.

Downtown to the whole Miami Valley

Our office on West Second puts most of the metro inside an easy drive: Concrete Driveway Installation in Kettering, Concrete Patio Installation in Centerville, Stamped Concrete in Beavercreek and Springboro, Concrete Sidewalk and Walkway work under the old trees of Oakwood, Concrete Foundations and Footings for additions across the Valley. Huber Heights, Vandalia, Fairborn, Miamisburg, West Carrollton, Trotwood, Riverside, and everything between.
